This year, for the first time ever, Kornit and veteran Israeli fashion icon and producer Moti Reif joined forces in Kornit Fashion Week Tel-Aviv 2021 to put the spotlight on sustainability.

The high-profile event, Israel’s annual celebration of high fashion, revolved this year on local designers who were invited to create collections using Kornit’s on-demand, eco-friendly (production) technologies.

Dorin Frankfurt is considered by many to be the First Lady of Israeli fashion. Her collection, A Sketch from the Future, was inspired by a Nature reserve in the North of Israel, home to many rare species of animals and vegetation, some only found in Israel.

Her concern for the preservation of nature is apparent in every aspect of the design, from the colour palette to the abstract patterns.

Working with Kornit’s Direct-to-Fabric technologies, Dorin discovered that sustainability and quality can live in perfect harmony, and the impact is far-reaching for the planet, for designers and for the entire industry.

“I have always been committed to local manufacturing and strengthening the community. Kornit empowers the local fashion industry by giving it the ability to produce locally and sustainably.”
