ITMA 2015 may be over, but Kornit Digital’s ‘Print & Cut’ simulation has left a solid impression. This edition of ITMA, we went the extra mile to showcase end-to-end manufacturing that included 3D garment simulation, transformed into a printed and cut garment in minutes!
We positioned the Kornit Allegro – our single-step solution for printing on textiles – together with Zünd and other industry partners, to demonstrate how textile and garment manufacturers can make their production processes more efficient, profitable and transparent.
‘Print & Cut,’ is a fully-integrated, highly adaptable production workflow concept that supports the production of ‘micro runs’ down to one-off pieces and samples.
After simulating the 3D garments, we printed the designs on our roll-to-roll printer using Kornit’s patented NeoPigment™ process, which is 100% dry and eliminates the need for pre- or post- treatment. After the files were transformed into finished fabric, we passed the cutting process over to a Zünd digital cutting system, ready for garments to be sewn!
Here’s a taste of what went down at ITMA 2015:
